The count down continues!!
3 days to go!!!
I don’t know about you but an absolute favorite treat for me are the specialty coffee drinks that come out around Christmas time.
My all time favorite: The Peppermint Mocha.
Going out and buying these Christmas coffees can start to add up… so, here is a simple DIY Peppermint Chocolate Coffee Creamer that makes it possible to have your very own at home Peppermint Mocha!!
Here is what you need to make the Coffee Creamer:
- 1 cup of Milk (use whatever you have at home)
- 1 can of Sweeten Condensed milk
- 2 heaping tbsps of Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1/4 tsp of peppermint favoring
All you need to do is pour everything into a bowl and whisk it all together. Simple!!
You will REALLY need to whisk to get the cocoa powder incorporated, so give it some time.
Once your creamer is all done, its time to make a Peppermint Mocha! All you need now is to put DIY creamer into a cup of coffee… and add some toppings to make it extra festive 🙂
YUM!!! This is so good! I was really impressed by just how chocolaty and sweet this creamer is… and with just the right amount of peppermint 🙂
Its highly likely that I will be making this coffee creamer ever AFTER Christmas has passed!! It is so good!!!
Time for a sweet treat!!! And this is one of my all time favorites!!
Ginger Snaps!! The perfect Christmas cookie 🙂
However, I like my Ginger Snaps without an actual ‘snap’, aka a soft chewy cookie rather than crunch.
This recipe is one my family has been using forever. This was one recipe I copied down for my own recipe book when I got married because it is a winner 🙂
Here is my recipe:
These are a generally easy cookie, which I love!! And I have yet for them to turn out anything but amazing 🙂
You can leave these ginger snaps plain and enjoy them as is 🙂
OR add a drizzling of white chocolate to make them even more delicious!!!
Happy first of December!!
December is a month full of baking with Christmas and all of the holiday get togethers!
These Christmas Oreo Truffles are simple dessert idea.
And no bake at that!
I shared a similar Thanksgiving dessert, and this is the same idea, minus the pumpkin 🙂
All you need is:
- a box of Oreos
- half a block of Cream cheese
- a bag of chocolate chips
Starting with the Oreos. Put them into a food processor and blend until the cookies become crumbs.
Then mix in your cream cheese (half the package) and roll the dough into balls.
Pop them into the freezer for 20-30 minutes, so they are easier to dip into chocolate. And in the meantime start melting your chocolate chips!!
You can use milk, dark or white chocolate for dipping, and even make your truffles fancy by topping them off with sprinkles, candy canes or a different time of chocolate drizzle!
These truffles make a delicious and easy Christmas treat! Believe me they will disappear quick!!
